Once upon a time there was a little girl who wanted to work in fashion...

I have wanted to work in fashion ever since I was twelve years old and picked up my first copy of Seventeen Magazine. I remember distinctively poring over pages of Tammy Girl clothing of 'friends forever' T shirts and diamante studded denim skirts in order to create a chic disco look for my up and coming under-18s club night. I haven't looked back since.

I never throw away a copy of Vogue (would you throw away YOUR Bible?) I become like a child at Christmas at the beginning of every month when I realise the new issues of the glossies are coming out, and I ache to be the owner of a Chanel 2.55 quilted handbag. I live for fashion and when I realised you could get a job putting together outfits all day, I had an absolute epiphany. This was my calling.

Therefore I have decided to create this blog as a type of documentation of my progress as a trainee fashionista (dictionary definition: 'a person who creates or promotes high fashion') as a way to share thoughts on clothes and shopping but also a way to exchange information about getting a job in the fashion industry as I feel there is a definite lack of information out there for us!

Until next time my fellow aspiring fashionistas...
